LGBTESS student coordinators are the event planners and community builders. This position is part of a larger team of LGBTESS programmers to create events for the campus community from ideation to completion including LGBTQIA+ History Month, Coming Out Day, Pride Month, among other leadership and educational events. Each student coordinator is responsible for their own events related to a topic area. You may indicate your interest in the application.

LGBTQIA Office Assistant

Hourly: 10 hours per week; Students may not hold a formal GE position concurrently to this position

Student Office Assistants are the greeters and public face for the LGBTESS and LGBTQA3 Alliance office. Office Assistants are informed about campus and community resources; LGBTESS services and events; and LGBTQA3 Alliance support groups and meetings. Office Assistants work as part of an office assistant staff, supervised by the LGBTESS Coordinator and LGBTESS Office Manager Paraprofessional. This position is part of a larger team of LGBTESS programmers and works in collaboration with LGBTQA3 student leaders.

LGBTESS Paraprofessional

Appointment Type: This is a student hourly position for upper division or graduate students. Graduate students may not hold a GE appointment while in this role.

LGBTESS paraprofessionals are upper division or graduate students. This position assists in scheduling, program administration, training, supporting student coordinators, and directing LGBTQIA+ students to community resources. This position is supervised by the LGBTESS coordinator and has elevated responsibilities of facilitating team meetings and being a leader to student coordinators. This position is part of a larger team of LGBTESS programmers and the LGBTQA3 student organization to create events and venues for the campus community from ideation to completion including LGBTQIA+ History Month, Coming Out Day, Pride Month, among other leadership and educational events.

LGBT ARC Academic Coordinator

The academic support coordinator position is a part-time student staff member who assists the faculty director in developing residents as active and engaged learners and socially and civically responsible community members. Academic coordinator facilitates individual study sessions, supports the faculty director in co-creating the content for WGS 199, and coordinates any extracurricular involvement associated with the ARC. The academic coordinator works under the direction of the faculty director, and the LGBTESS coordinator.
