Applications are now being accepted for the Osher Re-Entry Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year.

The Bernand Osher Re-entry Scholarship is awarded to students who are returning or have returned to pursue their education after a break. Awards are based on academic achievement as well as the achievements of individuals in spite of obstacles (financial, personal, familial, or professional).

Eligibility Checklist:

  • Must have completed at least 12 college credits in advance of fall term 2018
  • Must have "stopped out" in pursuit of first bachelor’s degree for a cumulative total of five or more years (can include a break between high school and college)
  • Must be working toward a first bachelor’s degree
  • Must demonstrate financial need (FAFSA, ORSAA, or equivalent information on file through the UO Financial Aid Office)
  • Must demonstrate the potential to succeed in his or her course of study
  • Must remain in good academic standing

Application Requirements:

  • Submit online application below
  • Transcripts from all institutions
  • 500-700 word essay discussing how the Osher Re-entry Scholarship could impact your ability to be enrolled at the University of Oregon in pursuit of your academic goals
  • One to two paragraphs discussing your goals for after graduation (can be part of essay or separate)
  • At least one letter of recommendation

Recommendation materials must be received by the application deadline of Friday, March 2, 2018, and may be submitted:
