Gender Equity Hall
The Gender Equity Hall is a community for students who are committed to gender inclusion for LGBTQIA+ individuals. This UO residence hall is recommended for students who would feel more comfortable living in a space that does not conform to the gender binary of male or female. Residents in this community can choose to share a room with a student of any gender identity or biological sex.
You may sign up by indicating this preference on the University Housing application.
LGBTQIA+ Scholars Academic Residential Community
The ARC is a community of peers that create intellectual and experiential opportunities to foster understandings of and respect for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and allied identities, histories, and practices. Scholars will register for a range of course work with the intent and option of earning a minor in queer studies (QST). Scholars have access to individual academic advising within the LGBTQIA+ Scholars faculty director, and will engage with guest speakers, co-sponsored programs, social events, and community service.
This community is open to any student who wants to live and learn with like-minded peers, inclusive of all backgrounds or identities.
